DECEMBER 20, 2000 Participants in the Big Foot Memorial ride on Tuesday braved icy and snowy weather as they continued their journey to the site of the Wounded Knee Massacre in 1890. The ride will conclude in December 29, the day of the massacre. It is named for Chief Big Foot, who was killed at Wounded Knee, and traces his route from the camp of Sitting Bull. Get the Story:
