DECEMBER 15, 2000

Three judges in Denver, Colorado, today will hear a motion made by 131 Columbus Day protesters who want to hold a pipe when they are sworn in for their trial.

The protesters want to hold a traditional pipe when they are sworn in to tell the truth. A similar request was granted in 1992 in the Columbus Day protest trial of Russell Means.
