JUNE 7, 2000 Sion Wilkins is a Minneapolis high school sophmore who wants to be a Native role model. The Lumbee / Navajo student holds tennis clinics at the American Indian Center in Minneapolis, hoping to draw more Indians to the sport. "I want to expose them to tennis. Basketball is popular with Native Americans, tennis isn't. But I think if I can bring it to their attention and get them to try it, they might get hooked," Wilkins told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
