THURSDAY, AUGUST 2, 2001 The White House may have scored a victory yesterday with approval of an energy bill, but participants in a Washington Post-ABC News poll give President Bush low marks on the issue. According to the poll, 53 percent of Americans disapprove of the way Bush is handling the energy situation. It was the worst rating Bush received on a number of topics. Overall, however, Americans gave Bush a 63 percent personal and a 59 percent job approval rating. Get the Story:
