EDITORIAL: Bye-bye Benton

JANUARY 22, 2001 The Seattle Times in an editorial today says its time for Don Benton, chairman of the Washington State Republican Party, to go. The paper recounts some of his actions during the past year, which included lashing out at the press after an anti-tribal government resolution was passed by the party. The paper says the party needs to choose a new leader who will work for the greater good of the GOP and its candidates. Get the Story:
