FRIDAY, APRIL 19, 2002 Fannie Mae has altered its mortgaging policies for homes on trust land. The company will no longer require tribes to sign limited waivers of sovereign immunity to tribal members can obtain financing. Paperwork for reservation mortgages has also been streamlined.
