MONDAY, MARCH 4, 2002 The Supreme Court today has accepted a case that could prevent three Alaska Native corporations from losing their investment in a wireless telecommunications venture. The Federal Communications Commission and the three Native corporations are seeking to overturn an decision which declared a wireless auction invalid. A joint venture of Sealaska Corp., Doyon Ltd., Arctic Slope Regional Corp. and AT&T Wireless, purchase $2.9 billion in wireless licenses but an appeals court said they rightfully belong to NextWave Communications.
