SEPTEMBER 1, 2000 Confirming reports, rumors, and suspicions, the Eastern Pequot Tribe of Connecticut, on the verge of receiving federal recognition, have publicly acknowledged their desire to build a casino. The tribe's financial backer is David Rosow, a golf-resort developer. Rosow recently met with Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and three town leaders to discuss various issues, including economic development. The New London Day wrote in an editorial that the tribe needs to be more open with its future plans, including a possible casino. Get the Story:
