Native corp looks for new leader

MONDAY, AUGUST 27, 2001 Still struck by the recent deaths of two of its chief executives, Doyon Ltd., an Alaska Native corporation chartered under federal law, is looking for a new leader. Rosemarie Maher suffered a heart attack on July 4 and died two days later. She had risen in the ranks of the corporation to become a well-respected leader. Her predecessor, Morris Thompson, died in a plane crash in January 2000. Described as a natural born leader, Thompson took the corporation from a loss in the early 1980s to 13 years of consecutive profits. Get the Story:
