JUNE 4, 2001 The first Montana-Wyoming Tribal Economic Development Summit ended on Friday in Great Falls, Montana, as tribal leaders, politicians, and business leaders discussed ways to improve economic conditions on reservations. Diversification of tribal businesses, development of natural resources, and collaboration with outside groups were encouraged. The conference was sponsored by the Montana-Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council and Senators Max Baucus (D-Mont.) Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.). Get the Story:
