Kalispel casino brings competition

MAY 22, 2001 The Kalilspel's off-reservation casino in Airway Heights is bringing competition to card rooms in the Washington city, who say their business has gone down since the tribe opened its facility last December. Casino manager Bruce Didesch says the casino is exceeding expectations. An average of 4,000 customers visit on weekends and 2,000 on weekdays. The casino made $5.9 million in gross revenue. Two percent goes to a local fund and the tribe also contributes anore two percent to the city. Get the Story:
