FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2002 A special Department of Justice commission on Thursday released its report on security measures at the FBI, blasting the agency for allowing weak protections to go uncorrected. The commission, headed by former CIA and FBI director William H. Webster, was called in the wake of the Robert P. Hanssen spy scandal. He has pleaded guilty to selling national secrets to Russia and was able to keep ahead of FBI investigators by watching their moves on a computer database. The Senate Judiciary Committee will hear testimony on the commission's findings next Tuesday. Get the Story:
