SEPTEMBER 18, 2000 Tribal leaders from 28 tribes in the Northwest will attend the 47th annual conference held by the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians. The conference begins in Coeur d'Alene this week and includes a keynote speech by Gov. Dirk Kempthorne. Topics throughout the event include governance, trust reform, health care, and sovereignty.
