Dalai Lama warns of genocide

SEPTEMBER 27, 2000 On Tuesday, the Dalai Lama, exiled spiritual leader of Tibet, said his people back home are facing genocide at the hands of the Chinese government. He said the government's attempt to develop Tibetan cities is destroying Tibetan culture. He also said contruction is causing environmental problems. Get the Story:
