West Nile virus found in N.J. birds

New Jersey health officials said Monday two dead crows have tested positive for the West Nile virus.

The cases are the among the earliest reported so far this year. Last year, the virus killed two people.

West nile is an virus transmitted to humans by mosquitoes, who are infected by biting birds with the virus. It can result in serious damage to the nervous system and the elderly and young are more susceptible.
