Diabetes cases on rise

JANUARY 26, 2001 The Centers of Disease Control today is reporting a 6 percent increase in 1999 in diabetes among all Americans. The CDC says diabetes is becoming a nationwide epidemic. The rise in diabetes is blamed on the 57 percent increase in obesity from 1991. The February issue of Diabetes Care will contain the CDC's latest data on diabetes. Get the Story:
