Police chief fired in Saskatchewan

JUNE 25, 2001 The Saskatoon board of police commissioners fired police chief Dave Scott on Friday. The board says Scott has been fired for internal reasons, not due to an investigation over the treatment Aboriginal men have received by police. Several men have been dropped off by police at the edge of town in the freezing cold, resulting in the deaths of some. Get the Story:
