Yakama Nation wants fish ladders

TUESDAY, MAY 7, 2002 The Yakama Nation of Washington wants the federal government to install fish ladders when repairs are made to the Keechelus Dam. The Bureau of Reclamation is undertaking a $32 million repair project but says it doesn't have authority to install the ladders. The tribe has provided notice it will sue to get the work done.
