Mont. governor won't meet with greens

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2002 Montana Gov. Judy Martz (R) has been stepping on a few toes during her reign, environmentalists included. The latest is her refusal to meet with several environmental groups who want to discuss logging and forestry issues in the Bitterroot Valley. But apparently, she forgot to tell the groups she wouldn't meet with them, and instead sent the declining invitation by e-mail to reporters, according to the Associated Press. Get the Story:
