Chickasaw-Choctaw water compact set

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2001 A water compact between the Chickasaw Nation and Choctaw Naiton and the state of Oklahoma is set to be made public next week. The agreement would split the sale of 160 million gallons of water between the tribes and the state. Texas would be the buyer of the water. The agreement is being finalized to be announced on November 14 at the Governor's Water Conference in Oklahoma City. Get the Story:
