BLM backing drilling in Wyo.

MAY 15, 2001 The Bureau of Land Management is backing a proposal to open the Jack Morrow Hills in Wyoming to oil and gas development. The BLM says drilling can be done without significant impact to the environment. The 622,000 acres in the Red Desert are home to the endangered mountain plover and a rare type of desert elk. Up to 125 wells over 15 years could be drilled, says the BLM. Get the Story:
