MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2001 A traveling exhibit of Maliseet culture featuring photographs and music has arrived at Maine State Museum. The photos date from the 1860s to the 1950s. They document Maliseet culture in Maine and Canada. One tribe of Maliseets, the Houlton Band of Maine, is federally recognized in the United States while others are recognized in Canada.
