Team wants to dig up Genghis Khan grave

FRIDAY, AUGUST 17, 2001 A University of Chicago professor, a Chicago lawyer and Mongolian scholars on Thursday said they will be excavating a site in Mongolia believed to be the final resting place of Genghis Khan. Although not confirmed, the team says they have found a location where the Mongolian emperor might be buried. He died in 1227, controlling a vast empire in Central Asia. Get the Story:
