Missing Kennewick bones may be found

JUNE 22, 2001 A Washington county coroner on Thursday discovered some bones which may be the missing femur of Kennewick Man, the 9,000-year-old Native whose remains are at the center of a court battle. Benton coroner Floyd Johnson, who handled the bones briefly in July 1996, discovered the bones in a box while going through the contents of his evidence locker. He only found them because the evidence bunker is about to be destroyed. The FBI has been investigating the missing bones of Kennewick Man. Get the Story:
