Navajo student to give UNM commencement

MAY 10, 2001 Irvin Harrison will give the commencement address at the University of New Mexico on Saturday. Harrison is Navajo and one of 119 American Indian and Alaska Native students who will receive degrees. He has received a number of honors even though he first went to UNM with the intention of working there. He later enrolled and will graduate magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree. Get the Story:
