Seminole youth learn about historic battle

THURSDAY, JULY 10, 2003 Seminole youth in Florida are learning more about the historic battle that sparked the Second Seminole War. Pariticipants in the Seminole Tribe Youth Conference visited the Dade Battlefield, where Seminole warriors defeated Army forces. Named after Maj. Francis Dade, only three of 107 soldiers survived compared to minimal losses on the Seminole side. Get the Story:
