A memorial to the late Bernie Whitebear and the late Luana Reyes, activists in the Indian community, was unveiled in Seattle, Washington.

Siblings Whitebear and Reyes were nationally known for their efforts to improve the quality of life for American Indians. Their brother, Lawney Reyes, created an 18-foot dreamcatcher containing Whitebear's ashes and photographs of the family.

The memorial will see its official dedication July 19.
