Ponca family keeps tribal business at heart

TUESDAY, JULY 1, 2003 Donna Wendzillo and her family share a common interest in running the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska. Wendzillo, 76, and her granddaughter Rebecca White, 36, sit on the tribal council. A son is the tribe's cultural director while White's mother works as an education specialist. The tribe was terminated in 1965 and restored status in 1990. It doesn't have a formal reservation.
