Indian women at risk of cervical cancer

TUESDAY, JUNE 17, 2003 American Indian develop and die from cervical cancer more than anyone else in the country, The Rapid City Journal reports. Indian women have have the highest cervical-cancer rate and the second-lowest survival rate. The age-adjusted cervical-cancer death rate is 1.6 times that of the general population. Screening and testing can prevent the development of cancer. Doctors recommend regular pap smears and breast cancer screening. Get the Story:
