Spirit Lake Nation inaugurates new chairman

WEDNESDAY, MAY 28, 2003 Valentino "Tino" White Sr. was inaugurated as the new chairman of the Spirit Lake Nation of North Dakota. White narrowly defeated incumbent Philip "Skip" Longie earlier this month. He said he will conduct audits of all tribal programs, including the tribe's casino, to learn more before moving forward.
