Crow elder 90 finally receives doctorate

TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2003 Joseph Medicine Crow, the historian for the Crow Tribe of Montana, finally received his doctorate degree in University of Southern California. Medicine Crow, 90, was completing his degree in anthropology when he was called to serve in World War II. When he returned, the anthropology department had been closed. Medicine Crow went on to become a well-known Crow historian and author of a book on Crow history. Get the Story:
