Blackfeet language educators from the Blackfeet Nation of Montana testified in support of a Native language bill.

Rosalyn LaPier, director of the Piegan Institute's Nizipuhwahsin School, and teacher Jocelyn Davis-DesRosier appeared before the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs last Thursday. They said the school has improved the academic performance and self-esteem of students.

The school teaches up to grades 8. It currently has 32 students.
