BIA's Martin to observe Earth Day at tribal college

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23, 2003 Aurene Martin, the acting assistant secretary for Indian Affairs, will observe Earth Day at the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Martin will tour the school's new science and technology building this afternoon. In a statement, she said the facility will "prepare a new generation of Indian students for the world of science to keep our Earth healthy." Related Earth Day Story:
