Editorial: Mont. casino bill must be killed

THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 2003 A bill that creates a special entertainment district with 10 casinos Montana will allow tribes in Montana to expand gaming, The Billings Gazette says today in an editorial. The paper says proponents of HB757 want to limit gaming to Butte. "However, federal law will allow Montana Indian tribes to operate the same games on the same terms as HB757 proposes for Butte," the paper counters. "If HB757 became law, 24-hour casinos would pop up all over Montana." Get the Story:
