Mont. rural water construction project to begin

THURSDAY, MARCH 13, 2003 How many times does the White House need to approve money for a water project benefiting the Fort Peck Reservation and rural communities in Montana? According to The Great Falls Tribune, at least three times: one to put it in the budget, another to approve an engineering report and a final to approve the engineering report, again. The first two steps have been completed, even though the White House was given the report last May. Rep. Danny Rehberg (R-Mont.) said he had to make some calls to push it through. Get the Story:
