Tribes oppose proposed bridge in Florida

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5, 2003 The United South and Eastern Tribes (USET), which represents more than 20 tribes from Maine to Florida, passed a resolution in opposition to a proposed bridge in Florida. USET says the Fort Hamer project would damage a site significant to the Seminole people. The organization says the fort is connected to the Trail of Tears. Get the Story:
