A federal judge in South Dakota said he wouldn't force the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe to accept subpoenas being served by the state.

But the tribe is no longer resisting them, a tribal lawyer said. U.S. District Judge Charles Kornmann heard oral arguments yesterday but conclude there was no irreparable harm posed to the state.

The state wants to serve the subpoenas on tribal land as part of a voter fraud case against an American Indian woman.
