Navajo Nation signs power agreement

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2002 A Navajo Nation enterprise has signed a development deal for a 470-mile power line. The Dine Power Authority and Trans-Elect Inc., a Virginia company, will develop the high-voltage transmission line. It will originate in the Four Corners area of New Mexico and run across the Navajo Nation to Las Vegas. Navajo Nation coal will be used to generate power for the line. Get the Story:
