Pueblo makes federal-state land swap

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2002 San Felipe Pueblo in New Mexico has completed a three-way land swap with the state and federal governments. The Pueblo transferred 537 acres of land and minerals to the Bureau of Land Management. This parcel is not trust land and was a recent tribal purchase. The BLM transferred 548 acres to the state. The state then transferred more than 1,800 acres to the tribe. Get the Story:
