FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2002 A German anthropologist spent two years researching Indian media, focusing on the KLND, the radio station serving the Standing Rock Sioux and Cheyenne River Sioux reservations in North and South Dakota. Michael Schlottner gave a report on his findings at the University of North Dakota. He said the station brings news, information and entertainment to the communities and builds self-esteem and combats stereotypes. Get the Story:
