Alaska village puts out fire

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2002 Residents of an Alaska Native village put out out a fire last week but not before it destroyed the village power plant. The power plant provided electricity to about 90 people. A new 180-kilowatt-hour replacement generator was sent to the village by helicopter. Get the Story:
