THURSDAY, AUGUST 29, 2002 Eight months after a federal judge directed the Department of Interior to fix its computer problems, Indian systems still remain broken. The Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Office of the Special Trustee for American Indians remain offline, Federal Computer Week reports. Three officials are working on the systems. They are: Roger Mahach, information technology security officer for the Interior; Brian Burns, chief information office for BIA; and Stewart Mitchell, trust security officer for the Interior.
