Fla. tribe arrests court official

WEDNESDAY, JULY 10, 2002 The Miccosukee Tribe of Florida arrested a county court official for trying to subpoena tribal-related documents as part of a civil lawsuit. Miami-Dade court service officer Warren Kaplan was detained for almost three hours before being released with a misdemeanor citation. The tribe and the county cooperate on criminal suits that occur on the reservation but not civil suits. Get the Story:
