Obituary: World War II hero

THURSDAY, JUNE 20, 2002 World War II hero and Cherokee tribal member Jack C. Montgomery died in Oklahoma this month. He was 84. Montgomery was part of a division which included members of more than 50 tribes. He won a Medal of Honor for his bravery, as did seven fellow Indian soldiers. Get the Story:
