Mont. tribe battles moldy homes

MONDAY, JUNE 4, 2002 The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is disclaiming responsibility for homes on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana that are infested with black mold. The department says the homes were built by the tribe and are to be maintained by the tribe. Tribal officials counter that federal funds used for the project require oversight of the crumbling structures. Get the Story:
