FRIDAY, MAY 31, 2002 A fiber optic project on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming is being held up because some landowners are seeking more money. Dubois Telephone Exchange is paying $3 per fiber optic rod, the going rate off-reservation. The majority of landowners have accepted the rate. Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone tribal officials support the project, which will connect tribal government offices. The city of Riverton is also being connected. Get the Story:
