Sweat lodge built on wrong property

FRIDAY, MAY 24, 2002 A sweat lodge at the University of Montana is located on property that doesn't belong to the school. The sweat lodge sits on land owned by a country club. The error was discovered recently when the club owners sought to build a fence around their property. The fence would end up running through one of the three sweat lodges at the school. In related Montana news, the Lame Deer Junior High School on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation suffered some water damage and loss of power as a result of a fire. Classes were temporarily held for displaced students in the school's gym. Get the Story:
