Conn. casinos enjoy good market

WEDNESDAY, MAY 15, 2002 Connecticut's two tribes took in more than $123 million on slot machines in April 2002. The win at Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, was $64.9 million. This was actually 4 percent lower than April 2001 because of an extra-large payout to gamblers, according to the casino. The win at Mohegan Sun, owned by the Mohegan Tribe, was $58.3 million, a 20.4 percent increase from April 2001. The tribe has increased the number of slot machines. Get the Story:
