Towns close to getting casino money

Four Connecticut towns located nearest to the state's two tribal casinos would share in a $1 million fund should the state's budget be approved.

The towns, along with other municipalities in southeastern Connecticut, had originally hoped for $10 million. But that proposal was eliminated from the budget.
