APRIL 20, 2001 The National Indian Gaming Commission's proposed 2002 budget is increased by $100,000, an amount to be financed in fees paid by gaming tribes. NIGC has a staff of 70. Kyle Nayback, NIGC's director of congressional and public affairs, said the staff is having a hard time keeping up with its job of policing casinos and the increase in fees won't necessarily improve the situation.
